OT: Tom Brady paid practice squad for INT's

Submitted by Jim Harbaugh on

Ryan Tannehill has been all over the news as a result of the practice squad taunts and his comments about them "enjoying their practice squad salary".... Turns out Tom Brady pays his practice squad teammates if they make an interception on him in practice says Dante Stallworth... Even more reason why he is still dominating at the age of 38.

Also, from Stallworth: "But comparing Tannehill to Brady is like comparing a rowboat to a battleship."

I'm guessing he doesn't have to pay them very much considering that it's rare that he throws a pick, but still, one of the many reasons why he's among the greatest competitors in the game, and possibly the greatest of all time.

He still goes out every Sunday with something to prove, and he wants to show the 31 other teams in the league why their scouts made the biggest mistake of their careers by not drafting him.

like he could continue playing for several more years---and it sounds like he intends to do so, too.  His stat #'s are off the charts great this season.  He works so hard at his craft that at age 38, he's now playing posssibly the best football of his career.

Tannehill, after a couple of practice squad players forced turnovers, Tannehill made negative comments toward them, including saying: “Enjoy your practice squad paycheck, enjoy your practice squad trophy.”

You know, Tannehill was the same QB who, during his travels through college, was once asked to run a QB draw on 2nd and 24. If you're going to be pissy and bitter about something, be pissy and bitter about things like that. Who the hell thought you would get 24 yards on that play?

I always think of the two SB's that got away.  He put them in the lead on both late in the 4th only to have freak plays and poor defense let them slip away.  What would the conversations be if he had won those too?

That's why he already is the GOAT.

People say "But Montana never lost a Superbowl."  No, instead Montana lost the NFC Playoff games that would have gotten him to his Superbowls 5 and 6.

Who's greater?  The QB that lost the chance to even play in Superbowls 5 and 6, or the QB that actually made it into Superbowls 5 and 6, and only lost on freak plays?

Considering Tannehill is dead last in QBR right now, that douche might (and hopefully will be) out of the league before long, wishing he was on practice squad.

Insulting muscular, agressive, and under-appreciated men who are trying to make him better...might be one of the more intelligent football-related decisions he's made lately... Never knew that about Brady. He's definitely got charisma. And a lot of extra money. And probably more than a few teammates/former-teammates who would follow him to the ends of the earth.
