OT Tigers at Tribe series thread

Submitted by Rodriguesqe on

Lots of Tiger threads lately,  we used to have series threadson here regularly. Seems reasonable to have a thread for this huge series. We must not get swept, but with today's news I think getting 1 of 3 might be acceptable.

Today's new being Zimmerman was placed on DL. I think this only means he is missing tomorrow' and sunday's starts, since it would be back dated to his last start and next week is the break. It hurts because he potentially could have pitched well, but in reality he has been bad since the groin injury and Sanchez might not be a big downgrade.

Tigers have no chance. Tribe will beat them like a war drum. Smoke signals say series will be a rout it'll be like a tornado going thru an Indian village on the Great Plains. It'll be reminiscent of Custer at the Little Big Horn. I say all this to honor OMG Shirtless

Desperately need to take tonight's game as Sanchez has been hot garbage against the Tribe this year, I suppose against all opponents as well but ya catch my drift.

Salazar is a primo talent. I think his first game was against the Tigers 2 years ago and I thought the guy was going to dominate the league. Couldn't believe how bad his numbers were last year. That 2.22 ERA is much more in line with how his pitches look.

Tigers going to trade Castellanos for some pitching help.I don't think they have enough money to resign him anyway & his trade value may be as high as it's ever going to be.

Castellanos FINALLY has his break out year and is under club control until 2020, and you think the Tigers are going to TRADE him?

0% chance of that happening.  ZERO.   High-production players playing for you before their FA years are pretty much the highest value players in MLB.  Who cares what he costs in arbitration?  It will be less than a comparable free-agent would cost to replace what he is currently doing, and even if it isn't it will come without the long-term risk required with guaranteed long-term FA contracts.

If the Tigers get lit up again they need to brawl. Dead searious. They've been a punching bag for the Indians in 9 games already without even a whimper yet. You have to show some fight somehow.

Everyone from the thread last Tuesday calling this Ausmus's last series are curiously absent from this thread. Weird how they won 6 in a row including 4 on the road with such a terrible team.

I don't dislike the Tribe in comparison to the Twins or the White Sox, but damn can someone please do us all a favor and destroy the POS drum. How can anyone enjoy that, I mean do the tickets that are right next to him have some sort of "buyer beware" addendum on them?
