OT: Tigers Opening Day

Submitted by itsbigcat on
We Tigers fans have now suffered two long baseball days without Tigers Baseball. I'm sitting in what might be the only bar within sight of Marlins park drinking bad beer and anxiously awaiting the game tonight. Flying out of Miami tomorrow for the games at Comerica this weekend. It's been a long winter, friends, and tonight Verlander gets this 2016 World Series run underway. Everyone have fun watching tonight, and cheers from MGoBrewer from sunny Miami! GO TIGERS

Stanton with the homer. 5-3 now.  Verlander entered the inning with a no-hitter. This inning he has allowed a deep homer and 3 runs. Now, the ining is over. 5-3 Tigers, end of the 6th

To be fair, we only sign relievers who are already in the process of curling up and dying. Its been at least a decade since weve had a closer under 35. Todd Jones, Papa Grande, Joe Nathan, Joakim Soria, & now K-Rod. At some point maybe well realize signing over the hill closers who have lost their velocity is not a great tactic. Or maybe not. Probably not.

Same old Tigers. Rookie GM cant build a pen. Ausmus leaving a guy in there who is getting smoked.  I feel bad for Verlander.  He gets a no decision and will never get a ring as long as these ass clowns are running the organization.

What game are you watching?  He got HAMMERED by multiple batters in a row.

He didnt have it.

Of course the former catcher Ausmus has such a great feel for the game...he didnt notice.

Horrid baserunning from Iglesias, no reason to leave the bag in that situation as you're not even in scoring position and you're playing for a single run.
