October 6th, 2011 at 11:57 PM ^
Alright, Tigers! Always nice to see the Yankees be eliminated from a post-season series. I'm just happy it's the team I root for that's doing it this year!
October 6th, 2011 at 11:58 PM ^
Tigers. Eat em up!!!
Wow! Not quite the massive coronary that I had during UTL but, for a baseball game, that was pretty intense.
October 6th, 2011 at 11:58 PM ^
What a game. Close the whole way, but held on. Great job by the pitching staff.
October 7th, 2011 at 12:43 AM ^
Great job by the pitching staff. Fister and Benoit made pressure pitches when they had to. Sure is sweet to send the Yankees on vacation.

October 7th, 2011 at 12:04 AM ^
what's all the excitement about around here?
October 7th, 2011 at 12:04 AM ^
Jim Leyland tearing up talking about how Don Kelly just had a moment of his life hitting a homerun in a playoff clincher.
I'll admit it, all bias and whatever. I love Jim Leyland. I want him to manage this team until he retires.
October 7th, 2011 at 12:08 AM ^
Ditto. I love Leyland. This is just a genuine dude right here and he is a master of clubhouse dynamics, which is the toughest part of the job. I hope he manages as long as he wants. I know he was extended through next year but I think he's earned himself the right not to have to go into next year worrying about another extension. Time to pay the man.
October 7th, 2011 at 12:11 AM ^
He loves his players. Truly cares about them, you can tell. Most pro coaches are just in it to win it and I don't blame them, but it's great to see Leyland show a human side that you don't always see from people in big time athletics.
October 7th, 2011 at 12:07 AM ^
All I did was scroll to the bottom and comment but if there is 374 legitament comments here.....Im loving it.....
