OT- TIGERS 4/13

Submitted by MGoPietrowski on

Scherzer looks for redemption in the Tigers first away , and first divisional series. To take two wins away from the south side will really keep this cole train rolling. GO TIGERS!

Dunn is terrible.  Also I hate strikeouts more than anything in the world.  You're a professional baseball player you should not be striking out 4 times a game.  Yes, I understand terrible games happen, but Dunn amongst others strikes out 3 times a game regularly.  Swing for the fences on your first two swings then shorten up and put the ball in play or understand the games situation and sing accordingly.  Back in the day Dimaggio and Williams would have 10 more homers in a season than they would have strikeouts.  End rant.

True, but good defensive plays by the Sox is a big part of why the Tigers only scored 2 runs, plays that the Tiger's counterpart are unlikely to make. In fact the Tiger's bad defense directly resulted in extra runs for the Sox. Tigers have a good, fun, exciting team, but defense is going to be a weakness in its current configuration

I think I agree with that comment for today at least. Boesch misplays the ball on the AJ double thus allowing Konerko of all people to score from first, then Delmon (who gets the only useful knock for us today) totally butchers a fly ball in left doing his best Nancy Kerrigan impression allowing that inning to be more devastating than it should have been.

All in all you have to give the sox credit they had good pitching, timely hitting, and solid defense they got a well deserved win today.

Hey dickhead. AJ went to M game at Metrodome and went in locker room and met with Lloyd Carr. Not just went to game. Seemed he must like M football. So I am a d-bag. Whatever smart guy.

i guess you are a d-bag because you can't read.  try re-reading my post.  i referred to AJ as being a d-bag. and he is.  and yes, i have seen AJ numerous times on espn touting his florida fandome, especially when fla was making their title runs in football and basketball a few years ago.

a quick google search yielded the following from N Friedell's blog discussing AJ:

"He has a Percy Harvin jersey in his locker, and a football helmet signed by Florida coach Urban Meyer and Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Tim Tebow. He's a season-ticket holder who makes it a point to drive to every home game in Gainesville and some of the away games when he's not playing."

I read your other comment the way you meant it, calling aj a d-bag, but then i went back to re-read it to see why this guy thought you were calling him a d-bag.  It could be read as: "no d-bag, aj is a florida fan", lol.  Makes more sense your way since the "no" was in the title bar by itself and then it said, "d-bag aj" in the body
