JJ Watt or Foster or Hopkins or any other main starter Bill O Brien wouldn't be releasing him or even making a comment. The more I watch O Brein the more I think he's a major dueche and a phony and I think the NFL head coaching job is just to much for him as I would expect him back in college by 2-3 years max. Maybe even after this offseason w all the high profile jobs opening up in college. O Brein is a sleeze in my book.

Except guys like JJ Watt don't miss the team flight. They're in line to get on board the plane 2 hours before takeoff and they make sure everyone else is ready and accounted for.

O'Brien didn't screw Mallett, Mallett screwed himself. He's got all the talent in the world, but he pisses his opportunity away because he's too immature to wake up in time for a team flight. And it's not like this is the first time this has happened. If you can't trust a guy to catch a flight in time, something that should be extremely simple, you probably shouldn't trust him to be able to take command of your offense and lead your entire team.

I have no sympathy for guys like Mallett. They think the world should revolve around them when in fact he should've just been thankful he still had a job in the league.

That's still on Mallett. He makes himself expendable with his poor attitude. His level of play just made it that much easier for O'Brien to can him.

If Mallett was a team player and didn't always act like a baby who got his favorite toy taken away, then maybe O'Brien would've given him another shot.

applies.

1. Make Sure That You Don't Suck

Before you go out and start committing crimes, it's important to first make sure that you're at least slightly better than the 30 or 40 guys that the team's assistant GM could instantly pull off some practice squad to replace you.

I'm sorry but that's life. Watt, Hopkins and Foster produce on the football field and act like professionals. As Greg Hardy is showing the world, most of the NFL cares about one of those things a heck of a lot more than the other. But even with Mallett's less than stellar play he probably would still be on the team if he acted like a professional. You don't to suck AND be unprofessional, you gotta pick one. Mallett couldn't do that and now he's gone and it's nobody's fault but his.

The guy had all the arm talent in the world. Too bad he was too dumb/lazy to do anything with it. Too bad he was so dumb/lazy that he already made his millions; there are thousands of other people more deserving and millions that would love to have the natural talent he had.

In summary, he's dumb and lazy, and that seems too bad for everyone.
