If it's gameday and No OT is in full effect, please remove

But, good to see a coach get hit directly from NCAA related issues (unlike Calipari who apparently can do no wrong)

All coaches docked 25% of their pay and some recruiting restrictions as well for lying to NCAA investigators. Penalties levied by UT

I just watched ESPN and Andy Katz said that the notice of allegations hadn't even been sent. So this self-imposed penalty was before any formal investigation had even been opened.   Katz called it unprecedented. He also said that this is a tie in investigation also involving football. Presumably for activities taking place during the Lane Kiffin reign.

Pretty interesting.  The NCAA seems a lot more aggressive the last couple years and it also seems like schools are working to hard on their own investigations and doing the self-imposed penalty route.

NCAA may be developing some bite, as this is just a precourser to an investigation. Tennessee didn't want to get drilled. I wonder if it is also a benefit to the University that Bruce Pearl is still there and being hit hard with sanctions?
