OT: Sunday Funday drinking thread

Submitted by gopoohgo on

Darn Daylight Savings time...losing an hour!  Had a nice lunch in Frederick, Maryland along Caroll Creek.  Doner Bistro, 1 Maß of Weihenstephaner Hefeweiss.

Drinking a Flying Dog Single Hop HBC-431 IPA while starting on our taxes.

Figure will be switing to something stronger as the final bill comes due :/

A short glass of red wine...can't remember the name on the label (which is far far away in the kitchen).  Celebrating the still visible blue sky at 6:45 pm.

Shock Top Pretzel Wheat, because I don't have pretzels immediately on hand. Feels fantastic drinking on my porch outside. It's 40 in Wisconsin and it feels like Summer!

Nursing an ungodly hangover today, might have an ear infection, dealing with some family stuff, fighting off the urge to just sleep all day... Currently sipping a cold cup of 7-11 coffee and bingewatching movies on Amazon.

Watching MLS matches tonight. Orlando City-NYCFC has been pretty entertaining. Mix Diskerud with first goal in NYCFC history. Kaka's deflected free kick equalized for Orlando in stoppage time

Later daylight is great.  Has anyone else noticed that the posting times on the board are still one hour behind?  DST - fucking with/keeping everyone on their toes.

I've been switching between Blue Moon and Sierra Nevada Pilsner Nooner all day - fortunately slowly as I have had other things going on. Actually, I am going back and forth between different games right now and ESPN2's re-airing of one of my favorite 30 For 30s - "Survive And Advance". Should be a nice basketball-filled evening in some capacity.

Thus far I've had a Short's Snow Wheat (awesome), Molson Canadian (better than its price tag), Trader Jose (some private label Corona Light-like brew), and another Molson Canadian.

Next up, a delicious 92 pt Super Tuscan.

Some kind of Cabernet. Made some filets in the cast iron skillet and a pan sauce to go with. Had to do quality control on the wine, although dinner is done and I'm still drinking. Must not be that bad.

and surreal few days. still wrapping my head around the threat to my kids' middle school on Friday that resulted in a lockdown and a lot of nervousness and confusion. All ended well tho... So now I'm ending the weekend with Rye IPA from Hess in San Diego. Just really hoping I'll feel normal tomorrow.

means first hand. As much as it stinks to see the news of this happening around the country, when it is your kid in a school and you are on the outside, while they're hiding under a desk..and then ATF and police search the school, and then patrol, it changes the view. THanks for the well wishes, and we are thankful it was only a threat.

Don't owe that much in taxes....yet!

HR Block software says we owe $350 to Feds, $50 to Maryland.

Unfortunately, I still have the K1 to enter (or even receive).  Would guess another $3K in taxes pending.

As a tax attorney, you would think I would enjoy this conversation. Unfortunately, it seems the only person I can't help save money is me. Oh well, a few more beers and I will forget the bill. Stone "delicious" IPA here. It is rather new and purports to be gluten free. All I know is that it truly is "delicious" and it is 1 for 1 in giving me a brutal hangover. Cheers everyone.
