Excuse Me Phil but I wasn't condoning the actions of Suh. I'll agree it was a tasteless move. It was dirty. HOWEVER football is a tough game, sometimes emotions get out of control. He's still the best defensive tackle in the league. He's still a member of my Detroit Lions, I love the guy.

This is a game the lions could've won. It should've been a lot better than 0-7 at halftime and then 3 INT's leading to 17 pts and a lot of dumb penalties (not all are the refs fault). Seems like a really talented but really immature team

Good thing he got ejected. After acting like that and costing the team points, i would have been upset if he wasnt benched the rest of the game anyway. Time to grow up Suh. This is National TV. You just claimed that reputation you were trying to avoid.

We trade his ass in the off season perhaps get a better offensive line and secondary help. This team will not make the playoffs and if by some act if god they do Suh will probably stab someone because the had the nerve to try to Bloch him!

The whole "Suh is dirty" thing is completely media driven.  I cannot defend his actions today however.  He costed the team 7 points all by himself, he's going to hurt this team in the long run if he does that again.

As long as he's on the team, I will still support him.

Stonum has has multiple DUI's, and is still on the team.  I fully support him as well.  Honestly, what's worse?  A DUI, or a footstomp?  People are letting their emotions get the best of them right now.

What is this "emotions" BS? Gholston was probably fuming when he puched Lewan in the face. I bet half the excuse makers in here were incensed when that happened.

I must confess to being embarrassed by Suh's actions today. That was beyond the pale of acceptable play. He deserves to be suspended.

<br>That said, I still am a fan of his. He just needs to rein his rage.

That was too stupid to even respond to.  Suh is a beast and could very well be everything we want in the long-term, but not only was he dirty, but selfish and done it on freakin' national TV when it's the only game to watch.  You want to know how to get a reputation and be on the wrong end of calls. . .you just saw it.

But who knows? Maybe the guy had it coming?

Schwartz definitely has his work cut out reigning in Suh, though. He's too good to discard at this point; still young with a lot of maturation and refinement yet ahead of him. But there is no way anyone can rationalize away the liability that this kind of behavior represents.

Were bringing back the days of the Detroit Bad Boys. We drafted what is questionably the dirtiest DL in the draft last year to play next to Suh in the future. The steelers have plenty of dirty players on defense and they win championship.

This thread is full of hyperbole and juvenile character assassinations, yet it is only dissent  or sarcasm that gets labeled "Flamebait"

OK he deserves criticism but this is already getting ridiculous. Pretty clear the media has already decided they are going to ride this train until the wheels fall off. Esiason and Sharpe were total sanctimonious twats just a minute ago in talking about it.

PTI was a great show but it ruined sports coverage in many ways, starting this trend of daily hyper-analysis for every minute detail and putting pundits on a high-horse to feign shock at all these "deplorable" actions they see.

Suh deserves to be kicked out of the league for that headshot.  I've seen enough of his antics for one lifetime -- never seen as dirty a player as this fool.

A lot of stuff goes that we never see. It is a dirty game played by dirty players.  Dick Butkus was far dirtier than Suh is but you never hear of his antics nowdays. Ray Lewis is every bit as vicious.

What Suh was wrong, but it still is nowhere near as bad as a deliberate helmet-to-helmet, which we see far too much of.

Of course, I must be an idiot.  I didn't see this fool ram a player's head into the ground three times after the whistle and then stomp on him before getting ejected and denying that any of what I just saw actually happened.

There was no headshot, moron. Suggesting someone should be kicked out of the league for that is laughable considering Vick, Burress, etc. all continue to play. You're an idiot probably due to genetics and upbringing, can't call it, but there is no denying your stupidity. Or Suh's, btw; wasn't defending him so much as laughing at you. I'm sure you get that a lot Shortbus.

carries the rest of his team with him. Be a while before Detroit shakes this, which is sad, when they were on the way up. This will dominate the storyline for some time to come. They may have to trade him.

and win a playoff game all this talk will be drowned out by praise. Suh, however, will not be so lucky. He is going to have to not just adjust his game, but make a serious PR push to rehabilitate his reputation. Suh is no dummy so he has to realize that this incident is going to cost him money in other ways besides suspensions and fines.
