This is crazy so far. Great progress for Harbaugh, obviously, but I think what's more important is that I get to listen to Petros Papadakis in pain.

College Football is not off-topic. Granted there isn't a lot of content in the post (but it is only a board post) but this is a great thread to discuss the game.

looks like he might be a very good coaching prospect, he's bringing that Stanford program back after many lean years. it's a good thing the Stanford athletic department didn't listen to anyone with unreasonable expectations pining for the glory days after he went 5-7 in his second season, a mere one game improvement in wins from his first season. maybe he was a better coach than his record says he was

sarcastically drawing parallels to michigan football with stanford. because, ya know, stanford didnt win the capital one bowl before harbaugh came in. they also didnt goto a bowl game every year since the 60s or have the best winning percentage in college football or consistently competed for big10 championships. but no, thats a good point you make.

I was curious if there are any Michigan folks we should never support? I already know one person.... There is a vitriolic blond woman who graduated from the law school..she could not possibly be a Michigan woman we "all" support.

USC how do they lose to Stanford. Nothing but 5 stars. This is USC!! USC doesnt loes to Stanford. Fire Caroll and the new DC. Obviously Sneaky Pete is a horrible coach if he cant win with a new DC and 10 first year starters on defense. What a joke he is.

The USC defense has fallen apart as the year has progressed. They've been blown out now 2 out of the past 3 weeks, and you get a sense that they will struggle next year on defense too unless some of these underclassmen make strides. Of course, offense isn't helping and Stanford is playing out of its mind.

I'm not sure how much you can equate to coaching and how much goes to being in his third year in a system with his own players finally working their way through the system. He was 4-8 and 5-7 his first two years, and that included some bad losses. He's doing a good job at Stanford, though.
