OT: Soccer Sunday/Monday Open Thread

Submitted by itsbigcat on

Happy Daytona Day to all my friends out there in fringe sports land. I am gearing up to be passed out on a pool table somewhere by lap 55, but before we get to the Great American Race, we've got some soccer to get in. Enjoy this wonderful Sunday, (and I guess, Monday), and have a few in your own honor.

Notes

*Games Featuring major clubs are in bold.

*This is our active Sunday and Monday Thread, to keep from needing another thread for what is usually a light day of footballing, tomorrow.

*If you don’t see a league or team listed that you want to follow and discuss, let me know and I’ll add it (within reason). I’m not going out of my way to make sure Scunthorpe or Drogheda United are covered here.

*I have heard the voice of the people. Time has shifted to your beloved Eastern Time Zone. I am a benevolent God.

Enjoy, cheers, and Go Blue!

Just switched over to Gladbach's game on FS2. Spurs-Stoke is literally now like watching the grass grow, and Spurs are nskt even playing Cameron.

How is Fabian Johnson doing this year. Brooks and Pulisic are playing well for Herta and Dortmund and I guess even Wood is acquitting himself ok this year, but I dont have a sense if Johnson is a key cog for Gladbach or just some guy rounding out the lineup.

GGMU.  An EFL Cup is still silverware, I guess.

The fixture schedule is getting packed, however, and as much as Mourinho doesn't want to admit it, he is going to need to start prioritizing.  EPL Top 4 > Europa (winner gets a CL spot) >>> retaining the FA Cup.
