OT: So, What are You Drinking Tonight?
You know what everyone on this board needs? A drink(s).
Seriously, look over at the MGoBoard - numerous 50+ responses on so many OPs, and most related to stress inducing topics.
Let's all take a breath, maybe a shot, and remember that drinking together makes friends forget their "little" differences of opinions. Maybe when we're all good-and-Friday-drunk we'll remember that it's all about UM football and its great fan base (Or, maybe we'll all just get piss drunk and e-fist-fight).
I'm starting with eggnog and Beam as soon as I get home
'Tis the Season!!!!! And Go Blue!

Tennesee bourbon apparently. but really, Maize and blue, Rich Rod Kool Aid. (AKA, still at work beeeeeches.)
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:46 PM ^
Tennessee Bourbon is a categorical impossiblity. Just sayin.
Cheers anyways.
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:48 PM ^
Yeah, I definitely meant to say Whiskey... long work day and policing of these here mgoblogs,, mmmkay.
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:55 PM ^
Common misunderstanding. While most bourbons ARE made in Kentucky, the laws outlining what qualifies as bourbon state it MUST be made in the U.S.
Thus, there could be a Tennessee bourbon or any other "insert state here" bourbon.
I say this as a pint of good ol' Ezra Brooks stares at me from across my desk...that'll be enough to start. 45% alcohol, 55% tears of angels, 100% excellence.
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:02 PM ^
Wow!! 55% tears of angels, that's a glowing endorsement. I've never imbibed said spirit, but, might go get some.
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:05 PM ^
It was my standard carry-in pint for Michigan games the past 4 years. It got me through the past 4 seasons, starting with The Horror and ending with Wisconsin, if that gives you a sense of its efficacy and warm embrace.
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:05 PM ^
Also has started producing some very good small batch bourbon.
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:23 PM ^
'Bourbon is a poor man's scotch'
A glass of Oban 14
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:40 PM ^
Did you slap that idiot on his beard and order a Knob Creek, rocks?
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:42 PM ^
whether to plus or minus this. I love bourbon.
And Scotch.
December 3rd, 2010 at 7:00 PM ^
pour me a nice tall glass of maize and blue kool-aid with Rich Rod ice cubes. Last I checked we have a coach.
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:44 PM ^
Four Loko!
That shit's gone after midnight in Michigan
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:02 PM ^
i haven't had blue poop or woken up covered in change lately
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:55 PM ^
in that case, i am drinking everything but Four Loko to celebrate that horrible scourge's demise.
Starting with a bloody mary on my flight back to Detroit. hooray for free Wifi on Delta!
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:45 PM ^
Due to the freezing of federal salaries, i'm going with a frozen drink theme to start
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:48 PM ^
MGoCommunity, it's been a great day, a lot of action and a lot of fun, this Bud's for all of you, Cheers!
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:48 PM ^
Probly martinis. Which are like a woman's breasts.... one's not enough but three is too many. ;)
But, this will also require me to run out to buy olives, because I'm out. :(
Freezing cold out, not looking forward to it.
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:22 PM ^
WUT?!
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:49 PM ^
with a splash of milk.
/pip pip cheerio.
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:49 PM ^
& tonic. The drink which IMO is always in season. T minus 2 hours...
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
Agree 100%.
And good choice....Tanqueray is my gin of choice and what I'll be using in my aforementioned martinis.
I'd probly be hooking up the Tanq and tonic myself, but I'm on a low carb diet and tonic has tons of sugar in it.
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:21 PM ^
I prefer Beefeater myself. Less piney, plus it has that royal ugly dude on the bottle.
Also have you considered diet tonic water?
December 3rd, 2010 at 7:59 PM ^
I need to try these brands, I have only had Bombay and Hendricks which I am drinking right now. Also, Diet Tonic water is the way to go, it just takes a few drinks to get used to, but by your 3rd-4th you can't even tell anymore (make sure you have a lime).
December 3rd, 2010 at 9:03 PM ^
Might I add a couple other gins that I favor:
1 - Tanq 10. Probably tops all comers. Outstanding in martini (dry) & sublime with tonic.
2 - Leopolds. A small batch gin actually made in A2. Lucky enough to get it out here in Denver - similar to Hendricks but with a touch of anise-like aftertaste, if that is to your liking.
In any event, enjoy your libations tonight & all nights!
December 3rd, 2010 at 9:40 PM ^
Mid level - Beefeater (think Bacardi or Smirnoff for the level of alcohol)
Higher end - Bombay Sapphire - top notch in my opinion
December 3rd, 2010 at 10:08 PM ^
Leopold's gin is the only liquor I'll drink on the rocks. It's incredible.
December 3rd, 2010 at 11:28 PM ^
Leopold's is no longer in Ann Arbor. They moved their operations to Denver.

...then it is all about the Tanqueray Rangpur...mmmm.
December 3rd, 2010 at 7:48 PM ^
I'm a fan of Hendricks, myself. It's worth a try if you've not had it before.
December 3rd, 2010 at 7:50 PM ^
to the Tanqueray. Unfortunately, I only have a quarter of a fifth left, so it looks like either White Zin or Bud Light after that. Haven't decided yet. Maybe both...
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:50 PM ^
Wish it were this instead though --------->
December 3rd, 2010 at 7:48 PM ^
Me too.
Tomorrow night our company holiday party is at a restaurant that has 60 minute on tap. I'm planning on having about eight. Ten if Dee goes to Bama.
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:50 PM ^
Calypso Rum. 70 times as good as Captain Morgan and only $10.40 for a Liter
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:50 PM ^
lots.
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:51 PM ^
I don't want to e-fist fight. I want to play fist ball. That's what the cool kids are playing these days.
Anyways, Im drinking 2% milk but might switch over to Orange Juice later tonight. Cheers!
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:44 PM ^
What are you five years old?
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:51 PM ^
But maybe some bourbon with dessert.
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:52 PM ^
... it's been a rough week on the boards.
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:52 PM ^
Hoping it will kill what little brain cells I have left.
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:12 PM ^
I'm going with kerosene and bleach on the rocks. If I end up in heaven, that'll be sweet. If I end up in hell, I'll feel similar to the way I do now.
December 3rd, 2010 at 7:32 PM ^
with antifreeze. Delicious stuff
December 3rd, 2010 at 5:53 PM ^
More than just a hint of the Isles.

Quit drinking a month ago. Have yet to find a good replacement.
December 3rd, 2010 at 6:09 PM ^
Try smoking weed.
It's actually less addictive and less harmful than alcohol, esp. if you use a vape.
