OT: Slightly Early Holiday Weekend Whatcha Doing/Posbang Thread
Tigers game on Saturday
Cook out fajitas, burgers, brats on Sunday and a bon fire.
Day drink all Day Sunday and a night out on the town.
Recover on Monday with more Parks and Rec
Chicago weather is going to be perfect... time for some grilling, bar patio time, and general relaxation.
Plus a couple of small things around the house, but my office is closed tomorrow so hoping to take care of them quickly and move on to freedom...
Going to Dublin and Paris for a week.
Been working on an SAP implementation project for nearly 3 years. The second wave of plants goes live on... Yep. This weekend.. See the bosses that make the timeline don't have to work this weekend. They just dictate it... Yay I.T. !!!
Still, can't complain too much. It's my first SAP project and it has been a blast to learn the Hana database and Data Services. It's probably the funnest job I've had in a couple decades.
"working from home" tomorrow. Going to enjoy this warm, sunny weather as much as possible this long weekend.

Lots of stuff to do this weekend. Avoiding yard work and will do all of the above. The kids are in town for the weekend.
Even though the daughter is still recovering....we still have them with us!
Family time. I'll mostly enjoy the Memorial Day weekend with my soon-to-be graduating daughter. I'm fairly good at mentally blocking out the fact that she'll be leaving the house for college next fall (dwelling on it makes me infinitely sad, so I opt not to dwell on it), but I realize how incredibly precious the few weekends we have with her under our roof will be during the next few months.
So...I'll be drinking a few beers and sharing a lot of laughs with my family. And thinking about how cool it will be to watch football games with her at Michigan Stadium next fall.
Putting the dock, hoist and boat in the lake. Leaving super early tomorrow morning to avoid traffic. Cracking an All Day IPA and relaxing.
HEading up to Long Island. Rght nyeah da beach. BOOOOOOOOYY. Water might be cold and flat but I'll try to jump in, get my ocean fix before the rain starts.
Will also be watching the NCAA lacrosse Final 4 with my dad, a Memorial Day tradition. Rooting for Albany and all its badass Native American players. One day Michigan will be in it.
Weekend? It is Thursday morning! Tomorrow will be rough because 4 of the other teachers in my hall took the day off so I will have to be helping 4 other subs and finishing up testing a group of crazy high schoolers. I guess I should of taken the day off also but I have never put in for a day in my three years of teaching.

Grilling burgers tomorrow, smoking a pork butt on Sunday, getting my cholesterol/triglycerides checked on Tuesday. Toss in some beer, bourbon, and garden planting for good measure.
After being on the road four of the last six weeks for work, I'm happy to be staying home.
Firing up the smoker, going to have one or 15 G&T's, maybe a few beers, maybe some Han Solo tomorrow afternoon. My last conference call is over at 12pm tomorrow...not that I'm counting or anything
And try to sucker two women to marry me. Might need to drink a little to get up the courage to propose to both at the same time.
Painting. A broken pipe flooded the family room. Tore out and threw away thewet carpet and pad and figured I might as well paint before I install the new flooring. Trying to decide between vinyl and carpeting.
Grilling, drinking and going to the beach. Downtown Milwaukee summer starts this weekend!
Spending all weekend at the lake house in Fremont, MI!
