OT: SE Michigan Game Watch Locations

Submitted by redfirelx on

Hey all,

Just moved back to SE Michigan (Detroit, specifically) from Cincinnati, OH. In Cincinnati, I always organized our smaller (20-100 people) U of M alumni spirit group events, a great way to meet fellow fans/alumni and watch the game. Other than the Big House and Ann Arbor, anyone know the best spots for Michigan folks to get together to watch the game AND be social? Maybe there are too many just due to the saturation, but thought I'd check.

Thanks,

Rob

Nope, not with AND be social with Michigan folks who want meet new folks. That's not any bar, at least a few other people have real since answers and not just snark.

This one is a rarity. A non-travel-humblebrag, non-joking, totally unaware "where to watch the Michigan game literally in Michigan" post. Good stuff, sir.

Okay, since you seem sincere I'll just note that you're posting on a topic that can no longer be answered seriously around here because so many people have made "look at me I'm going on a Safari in Zimbabwe for the Kent State game and what sports bars down there will show the game?" threads, so any "where to watch the game in..." topic has turned into a running joke.

Northville Sports Den isn't a bad place to watch the game with fellow alumni / alumnae. I live downriver, so I basically go to any bar or just stay home - the alumni association chapter here usually rents out various halls for viewing parties.

They should have some locations. I am part of the UM club of Toledo and we are trying to get Sidelines to be the spot, with a portion of the sales going to our scholarship
