OT-Saturday What's Tasty in Your Glass
Get the Fluffer and the DRIPA!!! DRIPA is a must.
I'm slumming with a Duck Rabbit Rabid Imperial and Great Lakes Erie Monster.
Strange, I thought just the opposite. I like this year much better. Seems they backed off the malt a bit and its a little clearer this year - both of which I think are improvements.
Awesome. I've got a Belgian Wit that's been two weeks in bottle and I'll do a first taste today.
It tastes fantastic. It was actually an American Wheat recipe that I added extra coriander and orange peel to get the Wit style. It's light and I can see why wheat beers make such good summer beers.
I need ideas for the Michigan football season batch now.
If you're talking about the Kuhnhenn Brewery in Warren, they make an excellent English-style beer called Conundrum. The Hefeweizen is pretty good too.
For the time being, as I work on marinating some pork, I am working on a Le Trappe Dubbel, a product of the famed Koningshoeven brewery in The Netherlands. I found a store in Livonia that actually sells it - it is sort of difficult to find a good selection of Trappist beers in Wayne County.
Im heading to a wedding in a few hours, so im finishing off a few Newcastle Brown Ale's, then ill drink whatever they are offering at the open bar later on. Also get to tag along on the party bus to the reception so hopefully they have some tasty treats on that as well
I'm actually brewing right now. It is what I like to do the day of a very big game because it helps me take my mind of things. I brewed the day of the Florida game. I brewed the day of the Syracuse game. Let's hope a similar result happens for my team tonight*.
I have a growler of Jack's Abby's Second Anniversary DIPL that I might have to bust out soon. I don't really want to drink too much because I have to head into the city later and drink some more.
*purposefully ambiguous, even though most of you would probably root for my team over the other team
Diet Mountain Dew.
Laphroaig 10, neat. Try it
Labatt
Sierra Nevada Torpedo. It's not DaisyCutter but since I can't get that out West, this will have to do for now.
Yeah dude is in trouble.
home made so-dee-pop
I had a White Oak this afternoon, found it on sale at Sam's in Durham for $9.99 a bottle - a steal. Then a 2010 KBS and now I'm on to the chocolate oak aged yeti.
Some Shellback Spiced Rum, delicious for the price. With some A&W and a lime slice. A slightly odd combination but don't knock it until you try it. All while trying my hand at smoking some steaks on a charcoal grill. Today's a good day.
