OT: Red Wings vs Hawks Game 3 Open Thread
Whew, I see it's 88 degrees in the D, and there's a sever thunderstorm watch till 8PM, though on radar it looks like the southern end of the front is passing to the north of A2-Detroit.
So far the Wings haven't been so good in odd-numbered games that aren't 7. Hope they can turn it around.

My thoughts on this series so far:
* Its very winnable for the Red Wings
* Red Wings are better coached team
* Howard is superior goalie and has been the glue for this team
* Red Wing youngsters starting to come of age...quickly (see great coaching)
* Red Wings still have lots of team speed and puck handling ability
As I wrote this, itis now 2-0!

To be fair that Hawks player dove. He sold it very well.
Hawks have been setting that exact same pick all night and we get called for it. Eddie olczyk can STFU about the penalty. It was a complete dive.

Whatever the turn out of this series and ultimately the season ends up being, this team has some serious potential for the future, and I'm definitely excited.
So strange being the more physical team. CBC guy said Wings lead in hits 26-16; Abs has 6, all of Chicago D 4.
