Abdelkader actually is my favorite Spartan ever. Home-grown guy from Muskegon, going to college in Michigan, and now playing for the Wings. Plus, he seems like a great guy. Definitely my favorite Spartan
One of my best friends from high school used to play for a Muskegon-area high school and said he practiced with Abdelkader a few times at Lakeshore and he was amazing. My friend played goalie and he said Abdelkader could ping every shot off a post or crossbar and in from the blue-line
I played pickup games on Mona Lake with justin growing up in Norton Shores. I was four years older and he was schooling me left and right. I wasn't the strongest ice skater. I could play with him for a bit when it came to roller hockey where I was much stronger (I would skate to cross country/track practice 3 miles away everyday).

Wings games in Phoenix are pretty much home games for the Wings. There are literally thousands of Detroit transplants in the Phoenix area. I love watching those games and hearing the Let's go Red Wings cheers.
Always enjoyable to watch the Wings play away from home because almost inevitably there will be several hundred-thousand Red Wings fans in attendance too. Thrashers games used to be hilarious
I have two Blackhawks tickets for the 2nd round, Game 5 sitting in the first row. I really want to see them play the Wings.
