OT - Ravens fire OC Cam Cameron - gutsy move?
John Harbaugh let Cam Cameron go with 3 weeks left in regular season. Isn't this kind of an odd time to fire a coordinator? I can see if you are out of the hunt for playoffs, but they are in 1st place.
Being that he has ties to Michigan, I think its fair to discuss if he would fit on Hokes staff at any capacity. I know we don't have an opening, but we can still discuss it.

where and how soon can we sign him?

Oh yeah, 6-24-3.
18-37 is below the all-time winning percentage (.425 per Wikipedia), but it's Indiana. The fact that he was not a successful head coach does not mean he isn't a good position coach. (We can look at other evidence to figure that out.)

No. Cameron has been awful as the Ravens coordinator. Flacco hasn't developed at all, he ignored using Ray Rice, the 2nd or 3rd best RB in the NFL, for long stretches, and made a guy like Boldin all but a memory with his play calling.
Not saying that Jim Caldwell will be any better, I personally think he made his career off of Peyton, but Cameron was not gonig to be the savior of that offense to get them a championship.

I've argued before that Borges preferred offense is a vertical offense similar to Cameron's. Cameron sounds like a dick in person but I'm not convinced he's a terrible OC. I think being an OC is not nearly as easy as people think.

Cam Cameron is pretty bad, no doubt, but if Flacco is half the QB he likes to proclaim to people then he is just as responsible for the Offense's struggles.

I endured the 1-15 season. He was horrendous and the players hated him. The next year the same team went 11-5 with noodle armed Chad Pennington and Tony Sparano. I wouldn't hire him to coach a 11&12 year old flag fooball team.

No , this does not sound familiar. Who are you talking about?

Needless to say I am extremely excited to see what Al does next year. If he falls flat on his face in big games, then we can start chattering. But this staff one year removed from a BCS bowl win isn't going anywhere unless they willingly do it.
