OT: Paw Patrol Michigan Edition

Submitted by Boner Stabone on

For all you young MGoDads out there you might be able to relate to this.  I am watching the game with my 4 year old son on Saturday.  Every time that Chase Winovich makes a play or a sack my son yells out "Chase is on the case!" (character from Paw Patrol) and then this Saturday he was introduced to a new "player" when Larwrence Marshall got his paw on the ball to help with the first interception he heard the name Marshall (another character from Paw Patrol) and was totally stoked to find out there was yet another paw patrol character on Michigan's team.  Needless to say, Chase and Marshall are his favorite players and it makes watching the game with him quite fun and entertaining.

All you newer dads prepare yourself for the worst - the tween Disney shows. They're the absolute worst. They'll be different in a few years than the garbage out now but when your kids are old enough you'll want to break your TV.  Jesse, Bunk'D, Liv & Maddie, Austin & Ally, Andi Mack (I'm getting pissed having to look these up again).

Teen Titans I can take but Disney can suck it for putting out this shyte.

Have not seen anyone mention Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse. These are shorts like 10 minutes or less on Youtube and elsewhere. They are actually pretty funny. Far better than some other Caillou-crap they could be watching.

Also, as was mentioned in some thread the other day: Curious George's Halloween, the one with No Noggin, is solid.

That's a great development OP. We recently took our kids to their first game against WMU. They're 3 1/2 and 1 1/2, so I wasn't sure how it would go. My boy will watch but hasn't really made a connection to the actual players. In fact he loves to push my buttons and say that he likes Ohio Tate. He'll ask me why I hate Ohio Tate and then tell me that he doesn't hate them, because I tell him all the time he shouldn't hate. He has an extended family full of Buckeye fans and an evil Grandpa in particular that insists on disobeying my requests to STFU, so it feels like a dark force is at work. Anyway, we had a blast and they were both saying Go Blue all day. They made it through three quarters, which I was not expecting. We get in the car and I ask him what his favorite part of the day was and he said, "I love the rocks at Michigan! They have willy tool rocks!" Not the flyover, not the 110k fans, not the football, the five rocks that he picked out next to our car in the grey lot.

Some great shows from the past that you should find:

Need some relaxing time? Oswald.

Need some laughs? Drake and Josh

Want to be super annoyed? The Wiggles, Caillou, Barney

Want to go on an acid trip without taking acid? The Teletubbies

I’ve searched the thread for the word Dino. How is dinosaur train not on here? That was it for my son for a year straight. Then Dino Dan: Trek’s Adventures. Then it turned into all 25 varieties of Nick Saban’s Power rangers.

he still primarily plays with dinosaurs. I have been waiting three years for the Dino phase to end.
