...and I thought Brady Quinn dropped far on draft day.
Gotta say I thought he'd be gone by this point, he's a pretty good value here.
Who do the Panthers even have at QB? Matt Moore? Clausen should start.
packing his hair products. that coastal air and Southern humidity is gonna be murder!

I always wanted to learn to rock the flyest clothes. I was thinking of black eye for the white guy.

For a minute I thought that was a picture of his future Offensive line...
Did he drive his Hummer Limousine up?

I think he took the family helicopter
The Panthers got seriously lucky. Picking Jimmy up that late is a steal, and should mean very good things for them.
I have little doubt that he will start, and I wish Jimmy well someplace he won't get sucker punched at a bar (As long as he doesn't pull a Delhomme in the playoffs).

Sorry about the double...
The release of tension in Irish's panties after that announcement could probably power several cities for days...
Good for Jimmah. I couldn't believe how badly I didn't want to see him get stuck in Oakland. He'll get a fair shot to prove himself in Carolina, and I bet he will.
As much as I hate the guy, I gotta say I'm happy for him. It's always hard to sit and watch as a player keeps slipping and all ESPN does is keep showing sitting there. On that note, I still wish Tebow wasn't drafted...I really can't stand all the attention that guy gets...
I'm not sure I've ever been happy for someone I hate.
What ever happened to good, old fashioned Schadenfreude?

Josh McDaniels is a moron if he thinks he's changing Tebow from what he is (a mechanically poor system quarterback) into a pro leader. Jimmah, for all his emu issues was schooled by one C. Weis who, while a terrible head coaching, was once a great coordinator. Jimmah will have a nice pro career while Tebow will be a quality fullback.
schematic advantage went to shit when he couldn't film the other team's defensive signals?
did you notice how the patriots haven't won a super bowl since he left?
since they stopped film the other team's defensive signals?

They had the right calls. A fantastic but fluky catch by a guy who if I recall correctly isn't in the league anymore and a dropped interception probably cost them that game.
Defense wasn't their real problem in the Super Bowl. They lost because they couldn't protect Brady.
Charlie took all his wins to Notre Dame with him.
If he tries to throw Steve Smith under the bus get ready for a beatdown. Somewhat disappointing he didn't drop to the third round, but in any case he's probably out of the league in 4 years.
on number of practices before Steve Smith knocks Jimmah out? I'm setting the line at 6.

Going from Jake Delhomme to Jimmah.
Sucks to be a Panther fan.

Does this mean it's good to be a Browns fan?

...that it's apropos that a bunch of pussies would pick a fellow pussy! :P

Wait, Did Jimmah show up in Canton, Ohio at the Hall of Fame in a limo and declared he will win 10 super bowls?
April 23rd, 2010 at 10:56 PM ^
...is that in moving heaven and earth to take Tebow (and not Clausen), McDaniels essentially snubbed a QB who had been hand-crafted by his predecessor as Patriots offensive coordinator.
One would think if he was trying to build a team in the Patriots' mold, he'd welcome a guy who had been suckled at the (amply sized) teat of Charlie Weis.

I feel good about this pick. He is certainly capable of handing the ball off to Smash&Dash. Hopefully he realizes that he just needs to be a game manager.

I feel sorry for Bradford, because going to the worst team in the leage is a deah sentence. He will be beaten soundly on a weekly basis, and I hope his shoulder can take it. Clausen is on a team with a good OL, two really good running backs, and one of the best WR's of all time. I've always thought that you never want to be the best QB in the draft. Even though Sam will make a ton of cash up front, his career will most likely suck. I would rather have a better chance at a long career and end up making way more money in the long run.

Cowher comes in next year and cleans house at Carolina. Jimmah will be just another Brady Quinn (almost starter but not a backup either).
On a sidenote, did anyone notice the look on Colt's face when the Browns picked him? That was priceless. "Yeah I'm drafted...Oh Shit, I'm playing for the Browns!"
My son and I laughed like hell. My wife came in to see what we were laughing about and when she saw it she said, "Whatever just happened he doesn't look happy"
And they take Tony Pike in the 6th. QB CONTROVERSY!!!
The Oakland Raiders didn't have a very good season; they really have not had very many good years since they went to the Super Bowl in 2002. Although, I still love the team for their perseverance and spirit to fight. And with this year's NFL Draft they're hoping to change their last few seasons and come out on top. But in any way, I wanted to see them on the finals.
