OT- Opening Day Tigers vs Royals
I didn't think I was ready to watch Tigers baseball.
I was wrong
GO TIGERS!
It has been a LONG winter.... Fox Sports moved the scoreboard right?? not a fan of it being at bottom of screen.
all year, its right under my fast forward bar when I skip through to the good parts.
Gigggittyggigglewheeee baseball!
and although a double was given up, Verlander avoiding the all too common first inning run or three. Good start. Can't wait to see what Kinsler does in his first game as a Tiger.
If its one thing of Jackson's game I'm confident in, its his defense. 161 left to go!
How is summer here when spring just started last week?
Gotta let those upstart Royals know who's boss. Go Tigers!
No doubt. An absolutely HUGE game. I mean, there are only 161 more games left, so this one is pivotal.
...but every game counts.
Let's not forget that they won the division by only 1 game last year. And they did that by beating up heavily on their closest rival last year, the Indians.
A long fly-out for KC followed by another Royal double, .
Hopefully JV can get out of this without giving up any damage.
VICTOR BABY!!!
Trying to watch at work off my Xfinity account....anyhelp?
I'm watching on mlb.tv, it's their free game on the day today.
Local blackout. Fuck corporate America.
MART!!!
Loooooong Gone!
Wooo Hooooo!!!!
Ahem...
Errr, I mean....good hit, Victor.
Ballpark in Arlington tends to inflate numbers, his average away from that ballpark is not good.
He's throwing way too many pitches, as usual.
If you're willing to pay money for it, you can get it here:

mlb at bat...... best option
Hurry back Iglesias.
Ugh. Hate to see him walking in runs now (despite the error).
OK, only down 3-1...but JV has 74 pitches through 4 innings.
I see Austin Jackson and Alex Avila are in mid-season form. Might give Jackon the benefit of the doubt on his since it was a bad call, but tough to take that with a runner on 3rd and 1 out.
Very piss poor attempt to catch that one there by Nick. First big league game and you're afraid of the padded railing? Maybe count your steps next time. Lucky that Verlander bailed you out.
I'm sure he'll get more used to it, but all warning tracks are the same size, and before every game you're supposed to go out and act like you're tracking a foul ball to see how many steps until you're at the wall. I'm assuming he just got the yips a little bit there.
probably better than any combo of plays from all of last year
Is it me or does Gonzales look a lot like Peralta physically?
Bottom of the 9th, 3-3 tie.
Walk off time???
Send the crowd home happy on Opening Day.
OK...c'mon now, Nick.
Runner at third, one out -- WIN THE GAME!
BOOM 1-0
1-0.
Not that it ultimately mattered there -- but I might have IW'd Gonzo to set up the force at home, even though a ground ball would have ended the inning because there was a runner on first, too. Anyway...nice to get a W on Opening Day.
...yes !!!!!!
And Alex Gonzales of all people!
Welcome to the D, Gonzo!
michigan fans deserved that win
I think Mr. Castellanos is going to have a huge 2014.
It would be a huge plus for the lineup if Castellanos can fulfill his potential this year.
