OT: NYT Gives a "Go Blue!" for Congressional Voting
The New York Times has an article on missing congressional votes. At the bottom of the article, they say that Michigan as the most congressional delegates that have not missed a vote and follows that statement up with "Go Blue!"
I just greatly appreciated that they feel the state prefers us to East Lansing.
(Go Blue is in the fourth to last paragraph of the article)

The NYT employs real writers with real journalistic integrity

Jayson Blair?
Of course, unlike the Freep, when Jayson Blair was found out, the NY Times held him accountable.

Shocking that in today's age of technology, there is no way for members of Congress to vote remotely via video conferencing when they are not in DC. Another sad reflection on the efficiency of our government.

But voting in person is the only way you can force these people to actually talk to each other and helps the possibility of getting actual stuff done. If you could vote remotely half of them would never be there.

but if so, that's just sad.

Only two of the four Michigan reps with perfect attendence have U-M degrees:
- Sander Levin: Univeristy of Chicago, Columbia
- Justin Amash: University of Michigan (Economics 2002), University of Michigan Law School (2005)
- Candice Miller: Macomb Community College, Northwood University
- Fred Upton: University of Michigan (Journalism, 1975)

Too bad he shows up so much. I am embarrassed every time I see him in hearings, an arrogant ass.

I am guessing the NYT was endorsing the Democratic candidates as they always do

I think the author of the article is either a U of M graduate or was their writer assigned to Michigan happenings.
