Was posted previously, right? The article link in the OP links a previous article, and since a) this is ringing a bell, and b) it's hard to believe that this board would miss something like this...

From the links it seems like this particular Wolverine has been in the news off and on for about 7 years and it just died this week. The rancher is probably an avid Rutgers fan and I'm chalking this up to the first casualty of the #WarOnRutgers. May he forever dine in the halls of Valhalla.

The wolverine had been tracked for years with a radio collar but they lost track of him a while ago.  He was killed 700 miles from his last known position.

There is a woman who writes articles about Wolverines and has the who story of this guy.

as a warning. Then  we declare war on BOTH Dakotas. We offer them a chance for a quick surrender or the "Rutgers" treatment...Except the Native Americans. But non-native Dakotans need to pay! VENGENCE MUST BE OURS.

keep electing Alumni Trustees who promise them the return of the statue and complete vindication of Paterno.

One of those assholes, Lubrano, is actually showing up in court to support Sandusky in an appeal for a new trial.

Conventional burning is too good for that place...

To only kill one wolverine a year. Since they last murdered one in November I don't think it was them. But I expect there will be another dead one show up in about 6 months, it will have certainly been killed by OSU. Why must they murder a wolverine every year ?

I wish the Rancher would have used another method to scare it off. I do understand he has the right to protect his livelihood.

Exactly, rule #1 about using a gun is know exactly what you are shooting at... so either he's an asshole for knowing it was a wolverine and still shooting it, or he's an asshole for not knowing what it was.

Wolverines are the second most awesomest animals behind the koala. May you rest in peace. As for the "rancher". . . My name is Josephus Mathias Abraham Reginald Mean,  you killed my friend, prepare to die.
