I am so ready for the counter backlash to kick in. Whining about bowl sponsorships in 2016 is like railing against gas costing more than a dollar.

To be fair to Dollar General, if you need throwaway type favors for a party, last minute restocks on plates and napkins and plastic utensils, or sometimes an emergency dram of dish soap, then this is definitely the bowl for you. That being said, don't play football in this bowl - there's a reason for the prices, after all.

So does this mean that all tickets, concessions, and parking will be $1.00 or less?

Even the powers that be in college football have to think this is getting ridiculous, but they know that people will be watching. Middle of the week in mid-December, kids are getting out of school, NFL games aren't on, people will be watching this because its football.

Doesn't matter if its Savannah State vs. the SCLSU Mud Dogs. People will watch because its football and nothing else will be on, and the NCAA will continue to make money off of it.

Everybody chip in and we'll have the MGoBlog bowl in La Paz December 28th.  Weather will be good in the summer time.

In case you haven't noticed, a majority of companies have generous compensation and bonus programs for corporate employees. Thats why wages have been stagnant or even regressed, but the overall economy has improved. So for 99% of us we are making less than we were 10 years ago when adjusted for inflation. But even with adjusting for inflation we are better off with Harbaugh than we were ten years ago.

This actually seems like a perfect name for a bowl game. You know exactly what you're getting in a Dollar General and in its namesake bowl game--it's not great football (or product), but it's cheap and it gets the job done.

When you get invited to the Doller General Bowl. I'll bet you'll have to at least have to have a 7-6 record to even get an invitation. It could kick off the bowl season and become the first bowl game of the year. Lets say Dec. 19. Imagine the prestige.....Solid Gold. Go Rutgers. First year coach reaching a bowl. What a fantastic recruiting tool..

Since Dollar General is $1 for everything LOL LMAO. I don't think I have ever seen Big 10 team play in this bowl game when it was GMAC Bowl, GoDaddy etc.
