Speaking of Notre Dame, I was thinking of wearing my Catholics versus Convicts t-shirt to East Lansing this year. If the shoe fits....

Even if this were true and ND wanted to join the Big Ten, the buyout they'd have to pay would be absurd and financially irresponsible. Even for ND. They're under contract with the ACC for the next 20 years. Would have to be hundreds of millions to buy themselves out. Either way, fuck Notre Dame and fuck the preferential treatment they think they deserve and oftentimes get. We don't need them. They'd come into the Big Ten and think they deserve the biggest seat at the table because they're fucking Notre Dame. I hope we give them a completely thorough ass kicking in front of all their deadbeat fans next year.

If they back out of the grant of rights contract, they are liable for the economic harm caused by that action to the remaining members of the contract.  I don't think the damages would be assessed in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

It would be a lot, though.  People just need to accept that they are just another ACC team now, and schedule them when it seems appropriate.  They used to have a fairly close relationship with the B10, but that's in the past.

If Notre Dame were smart they would've tried to join the B1G West when they had the chance. B1G could've went after Pitt or someone to fill the East up and the footprint of the B1G would've been perfect. All they would have to do is win the West every year and make the B1G Championship. Oh well, good luck with that ACC contract though.
