OT: NCAA Football '11 and WR #12 (aka Roy Roundtree
I don't want to ruffle any feathers here, but did anyone else notice that Roundtree is rated as the second-fastest WR on the roster? Even over Martavious Odoms?
Just seems kind of off-base — he's a great possession receiver, who always seems to find a way to get open, but speed just isn't his thing. Maybe it's just me; I guess I just can't get over that Illinois game...
I've been too busy making teams cry with Denard's legs. He has enough speed for the both of them.
formation subs to the extreme. I have one formation where Tate is lined up at QB with Denard and DG at WRs. Both of those guys can absolutely fly.
You'd have to be pretty sensitive to have your feathers ruffled over this post. Martavious won fastest man on the team in the spring so it's hardly a leap.
Repeat after me now "it's just a video game and I'm not going to freak out about this".
Apparently the Illinois game wasn't part of their scouting.
I think the skill route running in games only go so far. As you said, he is very good at getting open. That's why they gave him good speed. I love to use Stonum in the game, I put him in the slot.
i guess you havent watched him play kids quick and fast do some more homework. In my dynasty he won the biletnikoff trophy and koger won the mackey award, i used a two qb system and both shoelace and tate stayed.
did you capitalize the first letter of "In"? Why? Do you see it as the only word in your treatise worthy of capitalization? Is your thing to not capitalize anything, and you screwed up? Did you post from your phone, and you were in too much of a hurry to hit the shift key? This might keep me up for an extra three minutes tonight.
Why do you care what he capitalized and what he didnt, yes uncapitalized I's are annoying but I dont think its a big enough deal to cry about.
I think Belitnikoff, Mackey, Shoelace, and Tate deserve a little bit of shift key love. As Lupus says in Confidence, it only takes a moment to be polite.
Didn't know it was that big of a deal sorry. I think you have way too much time on your hands.
Just take a look at the spring game and also how long his stride is. Also, he was a track star in high school. You will see Roundtree make a lot of plays downfield this year so I have to disagree that speed isn't his thing. Roundtree has possesion ability and breakaway speed and is bar none the best WR on our team..maybe the fastest. 40 time isn't everything
He almost got hawked down by a defensive back coming from the parking lot. He's the best receiver, but he's certainly not fast.
But everyone knows that Odoms and Stonum are faster. Plus a couple of incoming guys are faster. Particularly DJ Williamson. Williamson won the state 100M and he won it Usain Bolt style.
They are all fast...and I like it.
roundtree drops so much in the game
DeMarco Murray and Ryan Broyles, for instance, are two of Oklahoma's fastest players, and they clock in at around 83 speeds on the game
They have 120 teams and about 80 players per team. Of course some things aren't going to be "realistic". However, I do feel they got most rankings correct this year.
Vincent Smith is slower than Shaw, and has a lower OVR rating. But I'd be hard pressed to find a Michigan fan who plays the game that doesn't think Vincent Smith is more effective. The rankings are what they are - it's a formula. But, given the RR system, some players are going to be more effective even with a lower OVR score.
That being said, I redshirted M-Rob and in his RS freshman year - he led the team in tackles, had some picks, and some sacks. I'm hoping EA got this one right.
Is it just me or does it seem like every single play someone gets hurt.
I haven't had many issues with that yet but I am having issues fumbling the football at important times. I fumbled three times last game, once when I was down by 3 with 1:56 left and had three timeouts. I returned the kickoff and fumbled right there. Game over.
the game will never be completely realistic ratings wise...
