am not a troll. I am not a "State fan," or a hater or whatever you want to call it. YOU are just blinded as to how obsessed our fan base is with State and how sad it is. Instead of acknowledging that they are formidable we stick with this pathetic song and dance and look ridiculous.

Well out here on the west coast nobody knows the difference between us, everybody thinks Michigan and Michigan State are the same thing and confuse the two and since MSU has been better than us for a while I have to keep hearing about all of MSUs accomplishments from people who think I'm a fan.

amazes me how people don't realize how self defeating that our fan bases "position" on State is. Our fan base has pushed ourselves into a corner, essentially a can't win, and is completely tone deaf as to how we are perceived right now with respect to State.

Lol. Does it really amaze you that Michigan fans talk shit about a rival on a Michigan sports blog? Like really amaze you? The self defeating that us...not you as you aren't a Michigan fan...that we are doing? If you are so concerned about the lack of respect MSU gets on a Michigan board, maybe you should head over to some MSU boards and talk about how awesome they are. I mean, you can pretty much just copy every post you have on here and paste it there and you'll be one of the cool kids there. They'll love you for telling them how amazing MSU is. I especially like your "basketball team is the lakers" post. I like it because it just reinforced to me that you aren't a Michigan fan.

Fan is shorthand for fanatic. I hated Rich Rod and yet I still cheered on the team and wanted him to succeed here. When he was fired I supported Hoke and wanted him to succeed here too. When he failed I supported the team and Harbaugh. I guess I just don't understand the concept of a "neutral" fan. It seems to be a contridction in terms. OSU has always been good. MSU has a flash in the pan once or twice a century. The success they are enjoying is not sustainable over the long term. It may take until D'antoni retires, but their program will regress to its historical mean at some point soon.
