OT - MLB All Star Game thread

Submitted by CalJr3000 on

This thread is for MGoBloggers watching tonight's MLB All Star Game.  Will the AL continue it's dominant streak?  All signs point to yes.  For now, tune in for the first pitch at 8:45 on Fox.

EDIT:  A few streams for those away from TVs tonight:

So now if the Mets don't do something psychologically damaging to me and somehow end up making the World Series, gaining home field advantage, this game would have been worth caring about.

Not often do you play in a city with both NL and AL teams. EDIT: And I don't consider Yankee Stadium to be quite the same situation as Yankee fans would dominate their own stadium. Same thing if you were to be at Wrigley.

That makes me wonder, what's the ratio of Angels fans to Dodgers fans in the LA area? Would a game at Dodger Stadium be anything remotely close to split?

I think a game at Dodger Stadium would have a healthy AL fanbase.  There are so many people in LA that are from somewhere else, they'd buy up the tickets and arrive in their Yankees/Red Sox/other AL gear.

I have been to Dodger vs Angel games in both stadiums, and visiting fans travel fairly well both ways.  There are perhaps less Angel fans at Dodger Stadium, if only because some Angels fans might be a bit reluctant to leave Orange County comfort for the trip to downtown LA to sit in the Left Field Pavilion with the great unwashed.  But they'd brave it for the all-star game.
