OT - Migos Have the #1 Song on Billboard
I rarely contribute to nonsense OT season but since both football and basketball seasons are over... Migos have the #1 song on Billboard. I remember a youthful energy football coach launching them into the mainstream. Everything he touches turns to gold....

T-Shirt is better than Bad & Boujee...but I mean Migos was pretty hot before they got in contact with coach, they came up with the dab.
I hope they're back at Signing of the Stars this year, rocking their Block M suits.

This song does suck, very badly, 90's & early 2000's rap was way better imo.

Atlanta rap is pretty awful, only good for parties and clubs. There are definitely artists who make some quality music. Everything Kendrick Lamar touches turns to gold, Run the Jewels release upbeat rap that still has some semblance of a message.
Same as the Bee Gees haven't aged as well as the rock music coming from the 70s, the popular rap coming from this era won't be the music remebered in 20 years.

It's almost as if everybody thinks the time in which they grew up was the best, and everything since has been going downhill.

But respect your opinion. 90's hip hop is still my favorite era, but bad and boujee is a pretty good song. Only verse I don't really like is Lil Uzi Vert's on there. The rest is just really catchy, hence the popularity.

bad meaning bad or bad meaning good?

Rap has been dead for about 7 years now!

its been mostly dead since eminem lost "it" and lil wayne drank too much purple. There have been sparks but as soon as artists go mainstream it goes to garbage(Looking at you Kendrick). Underground hip hop still has some good in it but I dont have time to search that out.

Have I hit Country Song Bingo yet?
January 14th, 2017 at 11:07 AM ^
No you've hit modern pop-with-a-southern-accent bingo. Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, etc. are not country, they just know some buzzwords. Real country hasn't been around in a long time. Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, George Jones - that's country.

Yeah, he is the song bird of my generation. His voice, it's like a combination of Fergie and Jesus.

not commenting on quality of the Migos, but to compare any group to one who sold OVER 2.3 BILLION ALBUMS is pretty silly.
January 14th, 2017 at 12:48 PM ^
He was clearly being silly, himself.
Also the Beatles are vastly overrated.

I listened to that whole top ten out of curiousity. Man.
Gotta give the Weeknd credit though. He's got the ultimate strip club anthem voice and he USES it.
