OT: Master List of CFB Blogs

Submitted by speakeasy on June 3rd, 2012 at 10:43 PM

I'm trying to track down something of a master list of CFB blogs...does anyone know where this might live? The B1G is obviously an easy target, but what about the other conferences, both BCS and non-BCS.

There are other blogs left out there?  I figured when fans of OSU, State and Alabama started posting here regularly it was blogmageddon.

Most of the good blogs aren't SBnation blogs; they're blogs like this one.  Of course, there aren't really any blogs like this one, but you get the idea.  What SBNation is good for, though, is that you can check out the blog rolls on each of the individual blogs.  Sometimes, you find a good one; sometimes, you don't.

IIRC, Roll Damn Tide told us about one or two decent Bama blogs.  It might be interesting if any of those who live in other major markets would tell us about great blogs for their teams.  I would list Florida, Miami, FSU, or USF, but there just aren't any for those teams that are close to this one.

that has the same level, or even somewhat similar level, of quality that Mgoblog has. Otherwise im stuck reading ESPN, Bleacherreport and the local news. The local news in particular... is just the worst thing. All three are pretty terrible when it comes to user comments.

The best time to start a blog, of course, was sometime between 2003 and 2007, but if there's still a space for one, go for it.

Any college sports-specific blog will end up being a combination of the founder's personality and the school's personality. Mgoblog is what is both because of Brian's deep, erudite, fandom and because, well, we're Michigan.

But if you want to see a blog like that for Miami, why not start it yourself? It probably wouldn't get profitable for quite a while, and you have to obsessively love your subject matter. But it's as Gandhi kind of said:

"Write the blog you want to see in the world."

Is a big LSU Football/Sports Blog.  There's a bit of an infamous thread that started there (like, hundreds of pages long) regarding Cam Newton scandal; it's how I stumbled across the site myself.
