OT: Louisville @ Vandy now in 17th inning

Submitted by formerlyanonymous on

I've been engrossed in this game since the 8th inning. That was 2.5 hours ago. They're around 5.5 hours into the game now. It's been absolutely ridiculous.

Vandy just won it in the bottom of the 17th. Louisville's coach McDonnell told his players not to shake hands after Vandy's excessive celebration. Weak.

That all seemed excessive.  The game that is.  While I rarely defend those that refuse to shake the hands of their opponents (cough, Mexico soccer, cough), did Vandy celebrate out of hand?

I salute you who stayed with it. I did not.  Big East vs. SEC -- two conferences I don't care for at all, and this wasn't even two teams I actively hate.

I think winning in the 17th inning warrants some extra celebration... isn't Vandy the team that lost a robotic pitcher earlier in the season.. the one that had his knee destroyed and still made the out at first from the ground.
