I watched the replay and still had trouble figuring out what happened.  I had to watch the slow-mo to figure out what actually happened.

I really enjoy watching lacrosse on TV, I just wish they would televise more games.  LAX started to get really popular in southern California when I was in high school.  It still seems like the sport it dominated by the schools on the east coast.  I guess it is like how west coast schools dominate water polo.

Surprisingly, California is pretty big for lacrosse.  Not as big as Maryland or New York, but still very big.  The closest D1 team is in Colorado though, so all those players need to leave the state to play in college.  I think Michigan is in a good spot to capitalize on that.

Awesome play and that's coming from someone who was pulling for UNC all the way because I hate Maryland.  That said, it was kind of a waste.  They were already up and rolling.  Should've saved it for a closer game.

Every time I think about Lacrosse, I think about Syracuse and the run they had when Paul & Gary Gait were there.  Still the best LAX players I've EVER seen.

Although, my dad says, "Jim Brown was pretty damned good too".

I also check to see if anybody is wearing the 22.

I love the hidden ball plays.  I ran something similar with my team to score the game winner against Troy Athens in the last 30 seconds of the game.  Excellent way to cap off a game.

The plays take up almost no practice time and if they fail you still maintain possession.  Very low risk play, but could result in big reward.

Michigan ran a play like that to beat Georgia in the national quarterfinals in 2008.

Very true, southern California has produced a handful of D-1 players and some really good ones at that.  Keep an eye out for some SoCal players during the tournament games, every once in a while they'll pop up.  A lot of the solid MCLA teams have a lot of California kids.  Do you know if Whittier still has a team?  At one point in the early 2000s they were NASTY...
