OT: last day of Mike & Mike
Listening to the last show of Mike and Mike on the app. Lots of people here don't like them (I could do with or without) but they've been around for forever and it's sad to see something like that end. Last show is basically a bunch of name drops followed by a bunch of people calling in to praise and thank them followed by both Mike's praising and thanking them back. So, not terribly different from any other show they've done since announcing the end of the show. Still, pretty historic event as far as sports talk radio goes. Will be interesting to hear how the last hour plays out. Will also be painful to hear every show on the air pay respects dutifully.

One thing I like about mike and mike is that they both pay their bets no matter how foolish or outlandish they may be. Even though Golic is a Notre Dame homer, he is totally objecting be when breaking them down. He’s the opposite of Joey Galloway who would pick Ohio state to beat the super bowl champions.

Never really liked the show or much listened to/watched it. But an era passing appropriate for the current state of ESPN.

There are way to many good podcasts to listen to. I don't waste time on live radio. ESPN Radio is just like ESPN tv. A bunch of has been's debating about nothing, inventing arguments with themselves, never convincing anyone to change their mind. Even the good radio like DP or WTKA round table is podcasted.

I watched the show a good bit over the years and was sorry to see it go. In much of the wind down and final show I never heard either make a heartfelt comment about working with the other. That's sad. Still, I'll have good memories.
