OT Knicks & Magic make history

Submitted by Ricky from Sunnyvale on

I am subjected to some unbearable sports fanchises(I live in CT) the New York Knicks are one of them. Occasionally I will put them on to see if Hardaway Jr. is in the game, well today it paid off! They made NBA history with the Orlando Magic, managing to only score 15 combined points in the 2nd quarter, that is the lowest ever since the shot clock was introduced.

NBA obviously has scoring issue. Time to shorten the shot clock to 18 seconds.

Here's to the Knicks overpaying and giving the max to Greg Monroe next year. Slow board day. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Look at the roster.  Who could win with that? In the NBA if you aren't going to win you might as well be terrible.  The Knicks finshing last is a lot better than say Brooklyn and Boston finishing 7th and 8th.  Neither of those teams is winning anything anytime soon.

This is why when people talk about how beautiful the NBA game is and how it is demonstrably better than college, I scoff and wonder if they only watch the game-of-the-week matchups between GSW and San Antonio, or Atlanta and Cleveland.  There are LOTS of terrible teams in the East, and as someone who too has to watch the Nets and Knicks way too much on local TV this score doesn't surprise me.
