and an easy target for jokes because of his big mouth and dumb in-game decisions.

But Kingsbury certainly isn't immune to being on the receiving end of a good ass-whooping himself.

But come on. He beat the snot out of you last year. That was a real asskicking. TTech won convincingly, and that's cool. Good for them!

For a guy who would be on the hot seat if it wasn't for his playing career and that huge contract Tech game him with zero evidence he had any idea what he was doing, this doesn't seem that smart a thing to do. It certainly doesn't help disprove the idea that he's too immature to be running a major program.

Texas Tech only threw the ball 31 times. No idea if they used a full back but they did run the ball 25 times for 171 yards. Those stats take some luster off the statement though. It wasn't as though Texas Tech beat Arkansas using the strategy that Bielema was talking about.

Watched a large part of it.  Tech forced the Arkansas D make plays in space, which they didn't do very well from the 30-40 snaps I watched.  Spread to run and spread to pass is exactly how they tore them up, from what I could see.  Isn't that what Kingsbury was talking about? Bielema makes a claim at Texas HS coaches' convention that his man ball style is going to kick your ass, especially if you play spread ball (implying it's not physical)?  And Texas Tech just shoved it down his throat by both spreading the ball and being more physical?

Still think KK's point stands. He clearly thought Bert was taking a jab at spread guys and he was obviously pissed Bielema came into TX HS coaches convention touting the supremacy of manball when majority of TX HS programs run spread  (according to Kingsbury).   Anyway, the way his team beat AK underscores the point he was making about "physicality" at the beginning of the clip -- i.e., you can play spread and still be physical.  That was my take anyway.

Who knew Kliff Kingsbury did his post-game interviews with Charlie Rose?

But that was great. Bert was already a dead man walking. I think Kingsbury just made sure it will be a closed casket funeral.
