very interesting. What do we know about McGee? I hope to God he's a drop back statue.

He's not a dropback statue. IIRC, there was a bit of a competition between he and Juice back in for who would be the starter back in 2007 when U of I went to the Rose Bowl. I seem to recall McGee getting some run in the season opener for Illinois against Missouri that year, which was a 40-34 Missouri win, with Illinois wearing god-awful orange jerseys.
From wikipedia:
Missouri
1 2 3 4 Total
Tigers 7 16 14 3 40
Fighting Illini 6 0 21 7 34
The Illini scored first off a Vontae Davis blocked-punt return. Quarterback Juice Williams looked sharp in the first quarter before leaving due to injury in the second. Mizzou jumped out to a 37-13 lead late in the third quarter, before backup quarterback Eddie McGee led the Illini to 21 unanswered points. A late fourth-quarter interception sealed the game for the Tigers. McGee ended the day 17-31 for 257 yards with a TD, but lost 2 fumbles and threw 2 interceptions. The loss increased Illinois' losing streak to 8 games.

McGee is supposed to be more of a natural passer than Juice. In reality he is an int waiting to happen. Als, he played against us in 07 but didn't do anything remarkable.

This isn't surprising considering what their offense has been able to do as of late. They're looking pretty beatable right now, let's hope things stay that way.

at Illinois. If we could switch what was on my estimation in the beginning of the year a toss-up / probable loss into a probable win / toss-up, then go on with your bad self Zooker. Illinois on the road may be magic win #6.

Zook is the worst coach in the B10. I've never seen someone do so little with so much talent.

How do you get worse as you get older?

you play for Ron Zook.

Or Chan Gailey. (Helloooo, Reggie Ball!)

Delaware State at home will be magic win #6.

the power of postive thinking.
You're not concerned that M will be looking past the game at Iowa to the match-up with the Hornets?

but slower and less shifty than Juice Williams.
It's weird, but this year I'd rather see Michigan's porous defense against Juice Williams than Eddie McGee, mainly because Williams is a walking, talking interception factory.

Williams is a walking, talking interception factory.
I'm pretty sure you just described his tenure at IU. I'll take Sheridan on a screen pass over Juice's accuracy any day...

which was mostly from the '07 season, he reminds me of an old school I-form option QB.
Juice Williams played like a V. Young clone in the Big House last year, based on that performance and a solid Juice effort in '07, I would rather face Mcgee.

Talking about getting squeezed. Juice just saw his NFL chances get severely hurt when he's getting benched.

I could see somebody picking him up, though, in the 7th round or as an undrafted free agent. You have to wonder what he'd be like if he had real coaching.

IMO I think we may still see him in the game when we go there. He had a great game against us last year and I would not be surprised to see him back in there at least trying to reignite a spark.
