OT - Interesting Maryland MBB ticket promotion
Maryland men's basketball has announced an interesting ticket promotion. Season tickets in the upper reaches of the arena are still available at around $395 for the season. They are offering, however, a pass for $150 that gets you a seat for each home game until they lose at home. It could be a big bargain. Last year, they lost to Virginia at home in the B1G-ACC challenge, but didn't lose any others. This year's home schedule is Mt Saint Mary's, Georgetown, Rider, Cleveland State, St. Francis (PA), Md. Eastern Shore, Marshall, Penn State, Rutgers, Ohio State, Northwestern, Iowa, Purdue, Bowie State, Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois.

If it's not a free ticket with every Diet Coke purchased, then it's neither interesting nor effective marketing...

I fully expected it to be about a "buy a Coke, get a ticket" promo.
That doesn't really make sense in the context of Maryland basketball, though.

So either you only get to see two games (Georgetown), or you are pretty much good until Ohio State at the earliest.

would be some reasonable discount on MBB tix if you are verified as having sat through some number of their football games.

I remember Minnesota doing an offer like this a few years ago. It went ok for a while....

Living in North Virginia, I'm so going to the Maryland game. I'm so glad Maryland is in the B1G only for this reason. The football game was so much fun, too! But I've been surprised at how expensive tickets are for UM vs. MD. Basketball tickets are more expensive than football; worst seats are about $100.

They announced this at the exhibition last Friday against Southern New Hampshire. Call the ticket office if interested.

minnesota did the same thing but im not so sure how much that ticket is worth it. Michigan lost to NJIT at home last year. These things happen sometimes. I would never choose this option
