OT: How easy is it to re-sell extra Season Tickets

Submitted by wildbackdunesman on
I can buy the alumni all-in season tickets tomorrow. However, I live far enough away where I don't want to spend half of my Saturday on the road 8 times during the season. I commute to work and I don't want to spend more time on the road once the weekend hits. How easy do you guys think it is to re sell the tickets that I don't want to use. I'd probably just go to 3 of the games. HD tv makes you feel there and saves you time and gas money getting there.

If the 3 games you go to are WMU, EMU, and DSU, then you can probably get your tickets for free by selling the ND, PSU, and OSU games. Do it the other way around and you are going to get squat in return (maybe 50-75% of face...or you can get face if you have family or friends that don't want to rip you off).

I didn't even get face value for Sparty last year after they get shelled by OSU and that was the best game on the schedule. My guess would be your going to the big three and that alone is worth the $800. Sell the others for what you can get and be happy.

It all depends what you want to sell them for. You can most likely sell all the tickets, but for the crap games you might not get face. If you sell your osu tickets then that will make you some cash for sure as long as our season looks pretty good at that point.

You gotta be all in for Michigan. Were you not paying attention at all this year? Have you not read the pledge? What 3 games are looking at? I might be intested in the WMU or ND ones if you just so happen to not be going to one of those.

How much would you be willing to pay for a single ticket (it probably won't be an extremely awesome ticket, either) to watch UofM play another mediocre team... That goes with the assumption that you would want to go to all of the "big" games. My experience in the past is that asking face value to an EMU type game just isn't going to happen unless you are also giving the buyer a more unique/special game experience, such as a front row ticket. On the other hand, if you are going to sell any of the "big" games, you shouldn't have too much trouble selling your ticket for at least face value. That being said, if our guys have a season like last year, even the "big" game tickets will be hard to fetch anything greater than face value.

you have to give away mac tickets. seriously, i try every year, highest ever is 20$ usually 5$ or just give those things away. and these are good seats. 30 yard line row 15.

You need to try and sell them on ebay or craigslist. I already got a couple tickets for the home opener and am paying face value. I have to get mine in advance because I'd really be kicking myself to not get tickets after a 2 hr flight.
