OT - Gratiot Cruise

Submitted by Sledgehammer on June 15th, 2013 at 9:15 PM

Today was the Gratiot cruise and I have never seen a car related thread on here, so I figured I would make one. Anybody go? If not, anybody have a car they want to share?  I didn't get to go because my throwout bearing took a crap on me yesterday.

Here is my baby.

P.S. ~ If you are thread snob and want to complain, keep it to yourself.

I did not go this year, but my father and I have gone in years past. Among the cars that sit idly in the family collection would be an Oldsmobile 442, which we would traditionally park somewhere in the Gratiot and Toepfer area before the cruise itself. We will more than likely be at the one on Fort Street in the downriver communities later this month though, and I will be driving the Oldsmobile.

Love the Mustang, incidentally.

That thing is wicked looking.  I'm not usually one for black on black (on black, on black) and the like but that looks pretty bangin', wow!   Question from an ignoramace, what are those "loops" at the front of the hood?

I was always a Camaro guy; my first car was a Z28, but I do like how Ford went back the late '60s Shelbys when they designed these. There are very few Camaros I wouldn't trade for one of these:

is also this weekend. My father had his '69 Camaro SS over there on display yesterday. I always find Motor Muster interesting, because they cover a lot more ground than most of the cruises -- they have much more than just the huge fin and muscle car eras. A lot of pre-WW2 cars and wartime (small-J) jeeps are on display every year.
