OT: Friday Night Drinking Thread

Submitted by ToDefyTheFrizzleFry on

So what are the fine folks of MGoBlog drinking tonight? I'm currently enjoying an Oskar Blues G'Knight Imperial Red. Oddly enough, this beer is a DIPA but labeled as a Imperial Red.

Also, Michigan beat State, and there was much rejoicing.

Stone IPA and Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye, which may be my new favorite SN beer.

Super pumped for the game tomorrow night, probably the most excited I have been for a U of M bball game in my 22 years of life.  What are people doing for the game tomorrow?

Welp, the fat shit with the nasty goatee has more shit break down. Oh, fuckin weird, still no gold.
But wait! Over at some other stupidly named craphole some old dick is about to bury his excavator except that he doesn't and then nothing more happens.
How that effing show is still on after 3 + seasons is beyond me. Yet, I still pay half attention when it's on. I guess that's a me problem.

The last beer in my fridge: Young's double chocolate stout.

Might make a whiskey coke with some Kinnickinick whiskey, well see how satisfying the Young's is.

+1 for Hamms.  Cheap and not as bad as Natty.  Always the classy move.

Also a recommendation for more cheap beer, go to a Trader Joe's if there's one near you (there's one off of Stadium in Ann Arbor, if you're at Michigan), and pick up some "Simpler Times".  It's like $4 for a 6-pack, and it actually tastes halfway decent.  And at 6.2% ABV you get a little drunker quicker.

I had my first Big Sky IPA last weekend, and it was a draft. I located a good beer store not too far away that carries many Big Sky beers (love the Moose Drool as well).

Anyway, the bottled IPA doesn't match the complexity and hoppiness of the draft, IMO. Absolutely drinkable, though!
