OT: Ferris State in D2 title game
Interesting that Jayru Campbell, the former MSU commit who body-slammed a security guard (on video) at Cass Tech is QB for Ferris, and won D2 player of the year award.
Ferris is playing Harbaugh's buddy Kerwin Bell and Valdosta State. More proof hosting a Harbaugh satellite camp will improve a coach's life.

Valdosta was perhaps the favorite going into the playoffs; Ferris knocked off Minnesota State, ranked #1 all year, in Mankato last week to get here.
My local team, UMD, wilted in the first round of the playoffs. Not dissimilar to a certain November game the rest of us watched.
Slippery Rock made a nice run to the regional final, so there’s that.

Valdosta is a little more athletic. Ferris's corners are having a little trouble sticking on the Valdosta WR's. Not really too stiff of defense on either side. Could be just typical D2 ball.

JFC. When did Gerg arrive in Big Rapids?

That INT will probably seal it for Valdosta.

Fuck me.
Now we're in deep shit.

Ferris's defense is brutal to watch. Charmin soft.

60 points won't be enough.

Ferris actually has a chance here. A good break on a call and Valdosta basically keeping them in the game.

They score the TD. Need the 2-pointer to tie. And... run a trick play where Jayru Campbell isn't the one throwing or running the ball. Ugh.
A simple QB draw, given Valdosta's coverage, probably scores.

That’s some real Pep Hamilton stuff there. You got the best player in D2. You win or lose with the ball in his hands. Terrible play call.

Pep isn't known for calling trick plays.
