OT: Favorite War Movies This Weekend
As we honor our fallen war heroes this weekend many of us like to watch one, or more, war movies. What are your favorite military related films/series and/or what will you be watching this weekend?
Fury - just watched this last night...awesome tank WW2 film if you haven't seen it
Patton - anyone not seen this? George C Scott is amazing
Midway - WW2 Battle of Midway retelling...long but very good
The obvious ones: Saving Private Ryan, The Pacific, and Band of Brothers. Think The Pacific gives BoB a run for it's money. Enjoyed Fury and Hacksaw Ridge as well.
Found pairing Dunkirk and The Darkest Hour as a good idea.
Anthropoid - Story of assassination of Reinhard Heydrich in Czechloslovakia. Only a couple of years old, i kind of stumbled upon it. I believe it's still on Prime streaming.

Still on my list: Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of our Fathers.
Open to suggestions.
