OT: ESPN to set Favre reference record
ESPN wants to set the world record for the number of Favre mentions in one television show. They've chosen "Sports Nation" to do it. Now you've got not only much hated in the Michigan blogosphere (and most likely everywhere else) Colin Cowherd hosting, but you've got even more Brett Favre.

Brett Farve is never OT.

Favre, Tressel, Albom, Tebow, Pete Carrol, Shaq, and Rosenberg all need to get into a car and drive off of a very high cliff.

Can you imagine the ridiculous amour of media coverage that would get?

am in the minority, but I absolutely love Shaq. I think he is hilarious. I can't help but flashback to the dance he did at the all-star game introduction last year (two years ago?)...I thought that was great.
In general I find him inoffensive, witty, and rather intelligent. Perhaps I should ask him out on a date.

I absolutely love Shaq too. His post-game press conferences are hilarious and he's a Miami Beach police officer. If cop was as big as he is, there would be no crime.

From Awful Announcing (emphasis mine):
it will try to set a record for the most mentions of Brett Favre on a TV show — with Guinness World Records now looking for the current record. It's gonna be hard for Guinness to figure out what the record is. But if they do figure it out, would it really surprise anyone if ESPN didn't have the record already? And, would it surprise anyone that Cowherd would try to break the record anyway?

How is it going to top one of the Super Bowl 8 hour pregames?
Also, someone should tell ESPN to follow the first rule of media;
You should report the story, not try to be the story..
This is ESPN trying to be the story, probably to make one up for their otherwise poor ratings. Someone email the ESPN ombudsman.

Anyone catch the Favre reference on MNF? It was that play where Romo ducked a sack ran to the right and then threw that lucky pass to the other side of the field. The announcers said, "He favred it in there." ESPN has officially made Favre into a verb

for the announcement of ESPN-F: all Farve, all the time.
What was BF thinking about, when he threw that pass?
What is BF thinking about, right now?
What will be BF thinking about, this time tomorrow?
Stay tuned when Colin, John Clayton, Sal-pal and Jaws will discuss.

Are they breaking their own record?

also inadvertently set the world's "Threw up in my mouth a little" record.
