Should you run straight into the defense on 3rd and 8? Ohio did.

Fickell to be named OC in 2012?

I dare say he would call the "throw into the defensive backfield option" play,

Only 3 things can happen when one utilizes the forward pass. 2 of them are bad.

Thus far, the most interesting thing in the game was the rap just now about former BGSU trustee Kermit Stroh. Wow, that kid may deserve an award for "Obscure Inspiration In Music".

And Criminal Minds. Both much better choices than those 2 games.

I'd rather watch D3 football with 2 camera angles than a tv drama.

UNITE! Both of them, that is.

If they are of opposite sex by 2030 there might be 4 or 5 of them.

How many generations does it require to create a genetically viable population of fans for a given D-III football team? There's something worth a grant...

How many people does it take to tackle the dude returning the punt?

I went to BG for undergrad and had to watch this pathetic team for four years. Although I'm happy that I can watch them on ESPN after graduating, this is embarrassing. It's a prayer to win a game. Oh well, I have to stay true-Go Falcons!

The same number of people that were in attendance at the game (outside of the guys on the field), which, judging from the television coverage, was somewhere between 5 and 7.

Althought the MAC is getting some good publicity, it's really sad to see the lack of attnedance at these games. While they are on weeknights and most season ticket holders do not attend, it's pretty sad that the student section doesn't even show up. I go to CMU and we're dangerously close to being below averaging 15,000 people per game this year (D1 limit). Last weeks game against Ohio was pathetic at how many students and fans in general showed up. The coverage is great, but realy hurts attendance numbers.

I've watched a few MAC games in the past few weeks and it looks like a late-90s, mid-May Tigers afternoon game in the stands.....
Granted, the turnovers in this particular game, which make it look like a confused, half-sober game of rugby may not be helping.

Tonight's Miami crowd looked like it was ugly parents, slutty sisters, and the band.

Miami (NTM) is an oasis for hot chicks for the record.

Miami (YTM) is an oasis for hot chicks too.

Because I was doing the on field photography for an Eastern blog, I've been to all 6 EMU home games and the games in Toledo and Mt. Pleasant and it has been fun. Both Toledo and CMU seemed to have more people than Rynearson though. I think EMU averages about maybe around 4,000 that actually show up but they have some deal with Pepsi to buy enough tickets to get them to the D1 requirement. But EMU is a bad example as they've been terrible for a number of years.
I think EMU would have to put together a couple of winning seasons before they start seeing more people.

"What happened, secondary?"
November 16th, 2011 at 10:06 PM ^
Both these games are upsetting. None of the four teams has 20 points starting the second halves. I want moar 66-63 games from the MAC.

South Park is all over PSU. Some of it in debatable taste, but they're definitely getting their shock laughs so far.
November 17th, 2011 at 12:44 AM ^
They did really tow the line of decency, but I would expect nothing less from a timely episode of South Park.
November 17th, 2011 at 12:58 AM ^
Not complaining at all, but some of it was pretty borderline, even for a show that prides itself on being borderline.
Still, it wouldn't be South Park if I wasn't asking myself "how okay is that?"
November 17th, 2011 at 1:03 AM ^
As Cartman said, they were basically recycling Catholic Church jokes. I feel like SNL handled making jokes about Penn State the best as far as being appropriate. I don't think that's South Park's style really though. I thought they used a unique way to handle a topical, yet controversial issue. I didn't think it was funny, but as far as taking jabs at Penn State, they were fine.
November 17th, 2011 at 9:24 AM ^
You probably mean toe the line, but knowing South Park, they probably went far beyond the line.
November 17th, 2011 at 9:01 AM ^
when we hit the time of the year that you start seeing these games during the week. With some of the shootouts that theyve had the past couple weeks its made for some good football.
