OT: Detroit Lions - Worst to First? Illusion or Delusion?
I'm a die-hard Detroit Lions fan as I'm sure many of your are out there as well. However, I hold no delusions that this is the year the Green Bay Packers are dethroned as champs - especially in light of the negatives in this article - and the ones they DON'T highlight, i.e. unsettled OL with new LT in Riley Reiff.
Thoughts? Is this the year? Or are we in for another year of mediocrity or worse?
Actually they ended up 9-7 but missed the playoffs when Tommy Kramer of the Vikings hit Amad Rashad on a bomb to win their game and take Central Division title:

yeah, Im old now but was a little Lions fan then...it was one of the first in a long list of heartbreaks..
The Lions have a few pieces, but have many large holes in their roster. This is at best a 9 win team and more likely a 5-7 win team. That is just how it is.
