Right now, it's just a rain / freezing rain mix here in southwestern Wayne county. That being said, you can see the transition to snow starting as we speak - we're on track for 4-6 inches here. While I wouldn't quite put it up there with "Death Storm", it's still going to suck in the morning potentially, not to mention later tonight. My wife just left for work too - hoping she gets there safe.

I do indeed. In fact, this May will mark 12 years working there.

I actually find myself in our Newport (downriver / Monroe County) service area a lot. I work with the folks down there rather often actually and know many of them.

The really crappy weather won't get here in time to cancel or significantly delay my flight. Normally, I'd love a trip like this, but I'm headed back tomorrow night on a red eye through LAX. That pretty well sucks.

There was a dusting on the ground in Ann Arbor, which is now gone and replaced by a slight drizzle.

Still says 3-5 inches possible.

Just drizzle here at work (Southfield). My wife is saying we're getting snow at home (Troy). This commute is gonna suck balls.

Lansing had 2 inches when I woke up this morning. It was clear until 9:30 or so and it hasn't really let up all day. Can't tell how much snow we've gotten yet but supposed to have 5-8 inches.

Here in Cleveland we're under a gentle rain but the forecast turns ugly....REAL UGLY tomorow with temperatures expected to plummet into the 30's and they're calling for 1 to 1.5 inches of snow!   This should be epic to say the least.  I don't think I've ever seen a storm that brutal before and if we survive it (and please keep me an my family in your prayers) then we're going to have find a way to move that one inch of snow.

To say you bastards have gone soft since I left in 1981 would be an understatement.  I feel like I'm talking to whole bunch of people from Atlanta who collectively shit the bed when they saw the first flakes fly last year.

Now it's really snowing hard in Ann Arbor. Good times. I hope the kids have school tomorrow. Working from home has its advantages...and drawbacks.

My 5 year old likes to burst into my office during conference calls.

I live between GR and Lansing and we've got 6" so far with no let up in sight until early morning. I went out to get groceries today (my normal day) and it was hands down worse than the death storm last week. I'm not sure if the county wasn't as prepared this week or what but we live on a main road in our town and I didn't see a plow until well after noon and the county just announced that as of 4pm they were only going to plow the interstate and state highways.

82 and sunny, spent all afternoon at the pool. Relaxing on the lanai with a chocolate vodka (Van Gogh) on the rocks. Before you freak out about any humble bragging, please know I would gladly switch ages with almost all of you fellow M bloggers. Yes, even, cold winters (and early springs), jobs, bosses, young children, etc. Enjoy your life, time truly does fly.

In Tecumseh, it started to sleet around 4 PM. Then it snowed. The drive home was about a 40 MPH roll down M-52 all the way into Adrian. And it's getting worse out by the minute.

It's not the snow. It's the sleet underneath.

I live in Tuscola County. We have 10 inches of snow on the ground. And it's still snowing. Wind is blowing pretty good. Looking like a snow day on Wednesday.

A couple inches of snow, and some drivers in Michigan act like it's a foot. Got stuck behind someone going about 20 mph in a 45. Fortunately got to Carpenter, which has 2 lanes, so I was able to pass. 35-40 isn't unreasonable on a straightaway without much traffic. But 20?!?! Cumong, man!
