OT- Countdown to Rivalry Games?

Submitted by Jstillz on
I just noticed that Lawerence Thomas officially committed to MSU. F*ck. I dont think MSU has ever got the top in-State recruit two years in a row. We need to whoop their ass next year on the field. Why don't we have a countdown to the rival games on MGOBLOG? that would be kinda cool.

Lincoln shot. I don't mean to be a dick, but seriously, did you really think that this hadn't been brought up yet nearly 24 hours after his commitment?

We're talking about subjective stuff here. Gholston Vs Gardner? Thomas Vs Arnett? Flip a coin and you'll be just as much an expert on this as the guys who make hundreds of dollars per year to do it. And yes, MSu IS going to get some of the top Michigan kids. Dantonio has made it a serious emphasis since he's been here, and he has had not just a one year jump on Rich Rod, but the fawning Michigan media who has (even in the eyes of us who remain somewhat dubious about Rich Rod) been out to skewer Rich Rodriguez and hang him by the balls since he arrived in Ann Arbor. One edge I give to Dantonio is the HATE he has for UM. And he's really been trained in the passive-aggressive style that Jim Tressel just about has a patent on. It's a big time rivalry for Dantonio, and MSU is benefitting from it. Of course, most Michigan fans will sip their mint juleps at the country club while touting US News and World Report articles about academics, and when they are not pretending on message boards to broker deals to buy third-world countries they'll scoff at MSU as a total non-entity--but the fact is that I have had several drinks and have competely lost my train of thought. So there.
