OT: Bolivians -- This is your thread to request clemency.

Submitted by Billy Ray Valentine on

In the earlier Isaiah Hole CB thread, several Bolivians surfaced to make their case for clemency.  I posed the question in the Moderator Action Sticky whether a thread dedicated to clemency requests would be permitted.  One of our gracious moderators indicated that the thread would be allowed, and it also may be a good recipe for humor.

Humor is the hope here, especially self-depricating humor.   Plead your case.  Non-Bolivians should weigh-in either in support or against clemency.  Please do not get political.  And please, do not re-post the exact same material that led to your Banhammer, unless it is in the context of what not to write.

Assuming we can have nice things, a thread like this might be entertaining every few years.

One final note -- I hope the moderators see it in their heart to consider at least one, if not more, application for clemency, assuming the user shows true remorse and accountability without qualification.

(fingers crossed on this one)

I'd love to see a thread that shows why each individual was sent to Bolivia. Even those who have been accepted back. I think a mod should be highlighting their thinking.

I don't hate him. He's just a cranky old fart sometimes who I like to push the buttons of when he does challenge me because I know how to get him #triggered.

He's never said anything to me that I probably didn't deserve even in a small way.

I don't know him and have never met him.

Blind hatred is reserved for the OSU, MSU fans etc.

I acknowledge that I have indeed offended the board with my uncouth language and unseemly venting activities, as directly related to Penn State achieving a B1G championship in football.

I sincerely apologize to those offended by the tone of my commentary, yet I feel that both the content and  sentiment expressed in said post was justifiable and defensible given the "events" that took place at PSU under Joe Paterno.

I  plea for a pardon, based upon an acknowledgement that the board is not my personal arena to spew vile and anger.  However, I can not apologize, no matter the points at stake, for the convictions I hold in critiquing Paterno, his sycophantic cult and all others involved directly or passively in allowing the Sandusky crimes to take place.

I hold steadfast in my belief that the institution was let off far too easily, and from their Board of Trustees to Franklin's "healing can begin" commentary, I do not believe "Happy Valley" is a community that has learned from the atrocity it enabled.

to the atrocities committed by Sandusky.  It was over the top.  I used terminology that would make a porn producer blush.

I am ashamed that I allowed my anger and hatred of that fanbase to cause me to react in such a childish manner.  The language was bad, the visual was bad, and as much as I hate them, it was also disrespectful to the actual victims of the scandal.
