Uccello's is a great place to watch the game.

Go downtown by the Van Andel and there are plenty of sprts bars too and a good crowd once the sun goes down.

on 44th street is a good place. I went there a couple times last year when M played N.W. and Ball St. (games were on Big Ten Network). My only problem were the amount of people there because they did not have BTN at their houses.

depending on what you want:

packed/suburbs - Ucello's/Vitale's (Leonard)/Frankie V's/BW3

packed/downtown -McFadden's, The Woods Lounge

less packed/downtown - Z's Bar & Restaurant, Hopcat

I am sure there are others, but I can't think of them right now.

If you're on the north side of town at all, there is a brand new HUGE sports bar called "The Score" on Northland drive, near where it meets the East Beltline.  It's next to that putt-putt course in the building that used to be Pietro's.  It's a huge bar with great drink specials, and more TV's than anywhere in GR, that's for sure.  It's modeled after the ESPN-Zone in Vegas, if that tells you anything.  And I was told that this was where the Alumin Association watched games this season.  Are you sure about McFadden's Tim?  I'm pretty good friends with the President of the GR alumni chapter.

I've been getting e-mails all year from the GR alumni association saying "Come to our viewing party at McFadden's," so I'm pretty sure.

That said, The Score is a pretty cool bar, even if the general manager (admittedly, a friend of my family) is an OSU alum.

Then I'm sure you're right.  I don't live in GR anymore, but that's what I had heard. My mom's restaurant company owns The Score, so I'm glad you approve.  I've gotten her to agree to sell Charles Woodson's wine when it becomes available (which may have already happened).

The president of the GR alumni club lives in Rockford, so maybe he was just pushing for The Score, since it's much closer to his home than downtown.  McFadden's is definitely a cool bar though.
