OT anyone watching the Masters today

Submitted by Kevin13 on

Just wondering about the conditions today, if they are tough. Checking the leaderboard, not many red numbers today and Spieth seems to be playing like a weekend hack.  This working crap gets in the way of my interests.

Believe it or not, Sergio has a chance to make the cut after a disastrous day yesterday (a 81 with a 13 on hole 15). He's at 9 over with the projected cut line at 7 over.

Not going to be easy as there aren't too many in red figures in today's round, but still has a chance.

Sad to see Speith (4 over) and Phil (3 over) blowing up on today's round.

No. I only watch golf on lazy summer weekend afternoons where I'm likely to nap while watching. Would much rather be playing than watching, in general.

Does anyone feel compelled to watch just to hear the sounds and see the sights of summer (birds chirping, flowers in full bloom, etc.)? That is one of the main appeals for me on this snowy day.

Yep. The Masters is a great tournament. Rickie is having a good round again. He had a chance at birdie on a par 5 and blew it. The ball lipped out. He also had a fantastic 66' putt to save par earlier in the round. It was great.

Of course. Gotta love The Masters to assist you in your lazy Friday afternoon in the beginning of April!

I gotta say, although the timing of coverage is purposefully flawed, I thoroughly enjoy it when it is on, and I think it's one of the best TV presentations of a sporting event.

Anybody have any other examples of sporting events with a profoundly enjoyable TV experience? It would be an interesting list to compile.
